ITS College of Pharmacy organized an Industrial visit to Yakult Danone India Pvt Ltd
Sonipat Haryana on 19th March 2026 for BPharm students to create awareness and impart
practical knowledge about industrial fermentation production processes and quality
assurance in the food and pharmaceutical sector The tour was organized under the guidance
of Sh Arpit Chadha Vice Chairman ITSThe Education Group
Dr S Sadish Kumar Director ITS College of Pharmacy expressed his sincere gratitude to
the officials and staff of Yakult Danone India Pvt Ltd for their cooperation and support in
making this visit successful
Yakult Danone India Pvt Ltd is a globally recognized company engaged in the production of
probiotic beverages The company manufactures the popular probiotic drink Yakult which
contains the beneficial bacterium Lactobacillus casei Shirota strain known for improving gut
health and digestion The organization follows strict quality control measures and advanced
manufacturing techniques to ensure product safety and efficacy
At Yakult students were warmly welcomed by Ms Shagun Rana ExecutiveProduction and
provided with a presentation about the history mission and production system of the
organization by Ms Mahek Garg ExecutiveProduction The students were then guided
through various stages of production including preparation of culture media sterilization
fermentation blending and aseptic packaging The visit provided insights into fully
automated processes and the maintenance of hygienic conditions throughout manufacturing
Ms Deepika Executive Quality Insurance also explained various quality assurance protocols
including microbiological testing monitoring of process parameters such as pH and
temperature and adherence to safety standards Students gained exposure to industrial
practices and understood the importance of maintaining aseptic conditions in probiotic
production
The Officials of Yakult interacted with students and guided them regarding career
opportunities in food technology microbiology and pharmaceutical industries Students
actively participated asked questions and enhanced their understanding through this
practical exposure
All the students were accompanied by Mr Anshul Tyagi Mr Gaurav Chaudhary Mr
Shubhanshu Goel Ms PreetiAssistant Professors and Mr Amandeep Dahapiya Mr Gyan
Singh Lab Technicians who ensured smooth coordination of the visit
The industrial visit was highly informative and provided valuable practical knowledge
