On April 24 and 25 2024 the 3rd Annual Sports Cultural Fest was held at ITS College of Pharmacy in Ghaziabad under the able guidance and enthusiastic involvement of Shri Arpit Chadha Honble Vice Chairman ITS The Education Group He has always encouraged students to participate in extracurricular pursuits and sports for which we are highly grateful He emphasised that participation in extracurricular activities and sports help students develop collaboration attention devotion discipline and commitment as well as sportsmanship spirit
The Annual Fest commenced on April 24 2024 Day 1 with a grand Sports Extravaganza in which every student from D Pharm B Pharm and M Pharm participated with tremendous zeal and displayed their athletic prowess with impeccable grace The huge celebration started with a statement from the Director of the ITS College of Pharmacy Dr S Sadish Kumar He kicked off the 3rd annual sports meet at the main field at 930 am He thanked the faculty coordinators for their assistance and encouragement and urged the students to maintain their attitude of sportsmanship He used a quote on Indias potential role in sports to motivate the students to become involved in the activity He gave youngsters information regarding how India will be portrayed in the future for Olympics
On this day the department organised a variety of sports activities for the students to participate on the basis of their interests These included Race 100 100x4 metres Shotput Carrom Chess BadmintonSingles Doubles TableTennisSingles Doubles Tug of War Cricket Basket Ball and Volley Ball Shortly after the completion of the respective tournaments the winners were announced Students left with a big smile on their faces at the end of the day since they had all loved the activities with full of sportsmanship energy and priceless memories
Day 2 of the Annual Fest began with cultural programmes on March 25 2024 Approximately 250 students from D Pharm B Pharm and M Pharm actively engaged in various events including competitions for painting Tshirts solo singing solo dancing rangoli making tattoo creation and mehndi painting Post lunch the program started with lamp lightening ceremony
Further in welcome address Dr S Sadish Kumar Director ITS College of Pharmacy emphasized the importance of sports and cultural events in the modern world particularly for human growth a healthy lifestyle and the maintenance of ones physical and mental wellbeing He told the students about Sports pharmacy an emerging health science field of today He heartly welcomed the guests of the day Mr Sandeep Soni President Synokem Pharma Ltd Delhi and Mr Ombir Singh Vice President Arm Wrestling Association UP with memento Good luck plant
Mr Sandeep Soni shared his observations about the dynamism and inventiveness of Indian youth He clarified to the youngsters that maintaining a healthy balance between academics and athletics is important He expressed gratitude to the administration for students overall growth and for helping them stand out via their innovations and ideas He urged the students to focus their energy in the right ways in order to significantly advance both mankind and the nation
Mr Ombir Singh emphasised the value of games and fitness in daily life as well as the satisfaction that comes with participating in sports He underlined that in addition to academics students need to participate in sports and physical education He also talked on the clear connection between human health and a feeling of wellbeing and an active mind Finally he expressed his gratitude to the faculty staff and management of ITS The Education Group
Key players in the events organisation including Gaurav Chaudhary Assistant Professor Dr Rajkumari Dean Professor Meenakshi Sharma Associate Professor Ujjwal Bharti Assistant Professor Chaitanya Vinayak Narayan Assistant Professor and Assistant Sports Officer Gaurav Veerbhan made this Annual Fest a huge success The program was smoothly anchored by Ms Swati Verma Assistant Professor and Mr Ritik Saxena Assistant Professor With the guidance of faculty who served as event planners every student took part in every event with enthusiasm The coordinating members Mr Sandeep Soni Mr Ombir Singh and Dr S Sadish Kumar along with other faculties presented medals and trophies to the winners in sports and culture Mr Shubdeep Yadav Asst Professor gave the vote of thanks concluding the event
