For the first time, this day was celebrated on 21st June 2015, which was initiated by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly on 27 September 2014, in which he said that Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition. It symbolizes the unity of the body, the harmony between man and nature, the idea of sobriety and fulfilment, and a holistic approach to health and well-being. It's not about exercise but the feeling of oneness within oneself is about the discovery of the world and nature. As per our changing lifestyle, it can help us to tackle the climate change by becoming conscious in style. So let's work towards adopting an International Yoga Day.
