As per the directions of Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, I.T.S College of Pharmacy
organized a Seminar on Innovation, Well being & Sports
on 23rd March, 2023 with great enthusiasm to spread the awareness about the Y20 Leadership Summit that convenes young professionals from G20Countries to explore the role of educational communities in supporting the health and well-being of young people and to highlight innovative initiatives and best sports practices in this area. All the faculties, staff and students in the department participated in the program.
The event was organized under the able guidance of Shri Arpit Chadha Sir, Honble Vice Chairman, I.T.S - The Education Group. He addressed the audience with a wonderful speech by encouraging the young people to share their ideas and experiences. He also emphasized that Healthy body houses a healthy soul. He motivated the students to eat right, exercise and live a disciplined life so that they can be healthy citizens as todays youth are the pillars on which our future nation will rest.
Dr. S. Sadish Kumar, Director, I.T.S College of Pharmacy advocated for the policies and programs that support the health and well-being of their peers. The programme started with the National Anthem and the welcome address was given by Ms. Sangya Dubey, Assistant Professor. The programme was further graced by the brief introduction of speakers, Dr. Sonam Bhatia, Manager Medical Affairs, Vytals Wellbeing India Pvt. Ltd. and Dr. Arun Tyagi, Vice President, CPS, Modinagar by Dr.Snigdha Bharadwaj, Associate Professor.
Dr. Sonam Bhatia, emphasized that pharmacists are contributing to the society and making peoples life optimally well by preventing the diseases. She explained the students about Recent advancements in nanotechnology based nutrient delivery systems and their regulatory landscape. She highlighted the benefits of nutrition (Nano health supplements) in Nano pharmaceutics along with its global growth rate (13.6% in 2023), regulatory aspects, current challenges and future directions in an engaging manner.
Dr. Arun Tyagi shared his life mantras viz. regular exercise, balanced diet and proper sleep to attain a healthy body that leads to a healthy mind. He also mentioned that coordination between organ systems make overall physical and mental development. He praised the optimistic quality of a sportsman that never fails to uplift the society. At the end he encouraged the energetic audience for their patient listening.
Towards the end, Dr. Manoj K Sharma, Professor & Event Coordinator presented his concluding remarks. The program concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Neelam Singh, Associate Professor.
