Every year, International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8 to spread the message of Gendere quality today for asustainable tomorrow. According to UNESCO, International Women's Day is a day to recognize the extraordinary acts of women and to stand together, as a united force, to advance gender equality around the world.
I.T.S College of Pharmacy celebrated International Women's Day on 9th March, 2023 organized by Women Cell with great enthusiasm to spread the awareness about Women empowerment amongst the society. All the faculties, staff and students of the Institute participated in the program.
The event was conducted under the able guidance of Honourable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Mr. Arpit Chadha Sir. He addressed the audience with a wonderful speech stating the importance to raise awareness about the status and dignity of women among the students. Dr. S. Sadish Kumar, Director, I.T.S College of Pharmacy elaborated the concept of celebrating Women's Day - to glorify the social, economic and cultural achievements of women all around the world. The program was further graced by the speech of Dr. Shalini Shawney (Professor) and singing performance of Dr.Snigdha Bharadwaj (Associate Professor). At the end Ms. Sangya Dubey (Assistant Professor) also highlighted womens achievements and challenges faced by them. The program concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Dr. Madhu Verma (Event Co-ordinator).
