Event Description
I.T.S College of Pharmacy organized Industry visit to the Indian
Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) on 12 th & 13 th December, 2022 for B.Pharm final-year students with a view to create awareness and impart skills about Analytical Research & Development (AR&D) in Pharmaceuticals.
Students were accompanied by Dr. Neelam Singh (Associate Professor), Mr. Gaurav Chaudhary (Asst. Professor), Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma (Professor),Ms. Sangya Dubey (Assistant Professor), Mr. Manveer (Lab tech) and Mr. Rakesh (Lab tech).
IPC is a body under Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India; involved in compilation of Indian Pharmacopoeia, Drug testing Laboratory and Pharmacovigilance Centre of India (PvPI). The AR & D division of IPC is continuously promulgating changes to analytical test procedures
according to the latest technological requirements and it is WHO pre-qualified and NABL accredited in the field of chemical and biological testing.
At IPC, students were greeted and welcomed by Ms. Priyanka Chaudhary (Sr. Pharmacopoeial Associate). The students were divided into groups and were guided by the various Department Heads. The students were shown and demonstrated various modern and sophisticated instruments like NMR, LC-MS-
MS, ICP-MS, AAS & HPTLC along with Microbiology and
Phytopharmaceutical labs.
Dr. Anil Kumar Teotia (Principal Scientific Officer) and Dr. Robin Kumar (Principal Scientific Officer) interacted and guided them about various career options in Pharmacopoeia Commission. It was a wonderful exposure for the students.
Our Honble Vice Chairman of I.T.S-The Education group, Shri Arpit Chadha encouraged and motivated all the final year students to grasp maximum knowledge and analytical skills from the highly skilled department heads of IPC.
