ITS college of Pharmacy organized an Ideation workshop on 19th november 2022, on the theme ideation in medical devices. The program started with the recitation of national anthem. Dr. S sadish Kumar, director addressed the gathering with his welcome speech. The program progressed with the felicitation of the honorable guest Mr. Manish gaur product manager, structural heart, India Medtronicspvt. Ltd. , with memento and a good luck plant.
Dr. S. Sadish Sumar emphasized on the 3 phases of innovation - inspiration, ideation and implementation respectively and he also highlighted about problem solving after surveying from the end user.
The key highlights of the workshop included the scope of medical devices industry and its potential to flourish in the future. The theme ideation was discussed in detail. The top 3 innovations of the century in medical devices i. E. , structural heart devices, surgical robots and cgm (continuous glucose monitoring) were the main points of the workshop. Further the journey of glucometer was explained beautifully through animation.
The aim of the workshop was to encourage students to convert their innovative ideas into deliverable outcomes by applying some creativity. The workshop was very interactive as students were very enthusiastic and clarified their doubts. Dr. S. Sadish kumar thanked mr. Gaur for such a wonderful workshop.
We thank our vicechairman, its - the education group, shri Arpit Chadha for encouraging us to organize such brainstorming sessions so that our students can develop and communicate new ideas for the health and well-being of our society.
