8th International Yoga Day

75th Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated in the premises of I.T.S College of Pharmacy, Murad Nagar, as a part of which the 8th International Day of Yoga is celebrated on 21st June, 2022.

According to the information, this year the theme of “Yoga for Humanity” has been chosen.

International Yoga Day is being celebrated every year on 21st June. This day marks the longest day of the year and yoga is also believed to increase the longevity of life.

At I.T.S College of Pharmacy, the Yoga Day was inaugurated by Dr. S. Sadish Kumar, Director, I.T.S College of Pharmacy. Everyone present were impelled by discussing the benefits of yoga, he said that doing yoga keeps the body healthy. Yoga has a positive effect on life, doing yoga daily keeps physical and mental diseases away, problems arising from lifestyle changes can be overcome by yoga, all the Faculty, Staff and students of the institution were present for the yoga practice.

Dr. C.S Ram, Principal-Physiotherapy conducted a yoga session along with his guests.

Yoga day was first celebrated on 21st June 2015, which was initiated by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly on 27 September 2014, in which he said that Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition. Symbolizes the unity of the body, harmony between man and nature; thought to provide restraint and fulfilment and a holistic approach to health and well-being. He thus encouraged everyone adopting an International Yoga Day.

This program was coordinated by Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, Dr. Rosaline Mishra, Mr. Chaitanya and Mr. Kapil.
