I.T.S Mohan Nagar organised a webinar under the esteemed guidance of our respected Vice Chairman Mr Arpit Chadha on 23rd May at 11 am on topic: " Challenges & opportunities for media Industry beyond pandemic” by celebrated speaker Mr. Manish Kumar, VP & National Sales Head, Star TV network. He is an alumnus of Thapar University, Patiala and specialized in marketing and finance.
He expressed that media is a part of our daily life but it is also going to affect during lockdown. He said that how Media Company broadcast and gets its revenue through advertisements and subscriptions. But during this critical time media is facing challenges due to less demand of content creation, advertisement in between the shows and no new movies released.
He interacted with the students in his webinar about the challenges and the opportunities faced by the media in terms of advent of digital choice, stagnant of revenue, and the participation of Google India.
His session was interesting and useful. He gave the message to students that the basic principles of all industries are same but only you must have the will to learn and adapt to different challenges.
All the questions raised by the students were answered by the expert and ended the session with no doubts left in their minds. The students found the session to be really interesting and extremely useful. As per the students in the Pandemic situation our media is also facing challenges in economic point of view and are not able to generate the revenue. Even the media has a big challenge for future entertainment after lockdown. Around 40 Pharmacy students and faculty attended the session.
