Orientation program for the freshly admitted 2019-2020 B.Pharm batch was organised at the I.T.S College of Pharmacy on 17th August, 2019 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Kalpana Chawla auditorium. The guests for the day were Prof. Anees A Siddiqui, HOD, School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi and Dr. Evangeline R Dutta, Public Health Professional, New Delhi. The occasion was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Vice Chairman of I.T.S-The Education group, Mr. Arpit Chadha and Dr. C.S. Ram, Director-Physiotherapy.
The session began with the welcome speech by Dr. Sadish Kumar S, Director, I.T.S College of Pharmacy emphasizing on the Research in the field of Pharmacy through academics, which was then followed by an inspirational speech by Dr. Anees A Siddiqui who briefed the students about the role of pharmacist in society and further applauded them for choosing I.T.S College of Pharmacy as their parent institution to carry out their Bachelor of Pharmacy. The session further progressed with an engrossing talk by our guest Dr. Evangeline who motivated students by stressing upon the importance of obtaining value based education. Mr. Arpit Chadha further motivated the students with his enthralling speech, urging them to make dynamic participation in all the extracurricular activities which I.T.S group offers.
With an informative presentation Ms. Snigdha Bhardwaj (Asst. Prof.) highlighted about the profession of Pharmacy, detailing about the infrastructure and facilities at I.T.S College of Pharmacy. Mr. Rajiv Malhotra (HCR & MA) gave a presentation on the wide arrays of job opportunities for B.Pharm graduates.
Ms. Rosaline Mishra (Asst. Prof.) gave vote of thanks and the program ended with National anthem.
