Dr. S. Sadish Kumar, Director, I.T.S College of Pharmacy participated in ‘15th Asia-Pacific Pharma Congress’ which was held in Melbourne-Australia during 18th – 20th July, 2018. The theme of Conference was ‘De Novo Advancements in Pharmaceutical Sciences’. The Conference was witnessed by Senior researchers, Post Doc researchers, CSO, CEO etc. from US, UK, Australia, Egypt, South Korea, China, Japan etc.
He was recognized as ‘Organizing Committee Member’ and gave Keynote speeches on ‘Turbinaria ornata – A Marine Algal drug treasure’ and ‘Bioactive compounds from Gelidiella acerosa, a Red alga’. The work on Marine Algae was lauded by the researchers. Earlier he had presented on Marine Algae in various International conferences/symposia held in South Korea, USA, Germany & Egypt.
In his speech, he emphasized about the philanthropic gift of Marine Algae, drugs from the sea and future scope of Marine Algae i.e. drudging on the ocean bed for exploring safer, potent and cheaper drugs for the benefit of mankind. Delegates and Researchers were very much impressed about the Marine Algal research at I.T.S College of Pharmacy.
