World Pharmacists day was celebrated by I.T.S College of Pharmacy at the Seminar Hall (Pharmacy block) with full zeal and enthusiasm on 24th September 2016. Principal Dr. S. Sadish Kumar, all Faculty members and Students took the Pharmacist Oath on this occasion followed by an essay competition on the topic ’’Role of Pharmacists: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow’’. 51 students participated in the competition. The instructions to be followed for writing the essay were conveyed prior to the commencement of the competition. Rahul Trivedi (B.Pharm IV yr) won the first prize while Ranika Maurya (B.Pharm III yr) came in the second position. Sheffali Mittal (B.Pharm III yr) stood at the third place. Certificates of achievement were awarded to the winners and Certificates of appreciation were given to all participants. The budding pharmacists went for a community visit to Asalat nagar village and enlightened the villagers on ‘’chikungunya’’. The villagers thanked students for sharing valuable information regarding Chikungunya.
