DST sponsored 3-day Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC)
Department of Science & Technology sponsored 3-day Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp which included an Industrial tour was organized by I.T.S, Mohan nagar, Ghaziabad at I.T.S College of Pharmacy, Murad nagar on17th, 18th & 30th March, 2016. It was attended by 94 B.Pharm. students. In this camp renowned speakers, successful entrepreneurs, Government officials addressed the students. The students got exposure to the latest market trends and various government schemes available to set up an enterprise. Students acquired knowledge about the concept of entrepreneurship, motivation to self employment and identification of business ideas.

The program started with the welcome note address by Dr. S. Sadish Kumar (Principal-Pharmacy) who briefed on the need for entrepreneurs in his speech. It was followed by Good Luck Plant Presentation to the guests. Dr. Vidya Sekhri (Director – UG), I.T.S-Mohan Nagar Campus addressed the students. Mr. L. Chandra (CEO & Director, Health Quotient) talked about sensing Business Opportunities and Dr. S.P Mishra (Chief Advisor, I.T.S-Mohan Nagar) emphasized about Entrepreneur Quality & Motivation Development. Mr. D.S Jolly (Administrator – I.T.S-P.M.C) also graced the occasion. Vote of thanks of the inauguration ceremony was given by Ms. Shalini K. Sawhney (Asst. Prof. – Pharmacy)

Mr. Chander Sabharwal (Managing Director, Crop Health Products Ltd.) talked about Business Opportunity Guidance while Mr. K.K. Goyal (Asst. Director, MSME) threw light upon various Program Policies & Incentives of Govt. / Govt. institutions working for promotion of Small & Medium enterprises. The event was coordinated by Ms. Shalini K. Sawhney (Asst. Prof.), Dr. Jayendra (Assoc. Prof.), Mr. Alok Pratap Singh (Asst. Prof.) and Ms. Smriti Sahu (Asst. Prof.) Vote of thanks was given by Dr. S. Sadish Kumar (Principal-Pharmacy)

Industrial visit was arranged at M/s Moon Beverages Ltd., Sahibabad, Ghaziabad. It was a manufacturing unit of Coke range of products. About 50 students visited the plant. They were accompanied by faculty members Mr. Manoj K. Sharma and Ms. Nidhi Tyagi. The students were shown all steps involved in the processing of soft drinks from washing of containers, filling, sealing to final packaging. The students were very enthusiastic after the plant visit.
